    Re: Rechroming recommendations

Steven Brohard thanks for the detailed analysis in the full method of Chroming. After all the heading was chroming. Sounds like you have a good handle on the subject and your lengthy writings didn't go unread. I thought I would mention it.
Now can you explain why people get pot metal so wrong when chroming. I have had my wonderbar facia buttons and main wonderbar button completely stuffed by the so called best guy in my neck of the woods. The buttons and major bar were actually good enough to leave as is. But me being the bling king had to have it blinding everyone. And now have to live with them grinded into all sorts of shapes. I think he was trying to get the little pin holes out with a grinder by the look of them. Stewy

      Re: Rechroming recommendations

Sorry to beat a dead horse but I found a company that rechromes spinners and would like to know if anyone out there has any personal experience with this company. Their name is Advanced Plating and they are the shop that Muscle Cars on Spike TV sends all their rechroming to. They are located in Nashville, TN. I visited their website today and their process is awesome.
Looking forward to hearing you input.

        Re: Rechroming recommendations

I suggest you speak with them directly, tell them what you will accept and get pictures of previous work. If they, or anyone, is confident they can do an as delivered new job they should have pictures and references. Original parts are too valuable to take a chance with.

'Another thought. Contact one of the vendors of the reproduction spinners and find out who chromed them.

        Good Luck!
