Zl Camaro Stolen, Please Keep A Look Out

Unfortunately, you read that correctly...last night (8/13/2009) COPO Pete had his 2500 Duramax + trailer + white COPO Camaro stolen from outside a hotel parking lot while he was eating dinner. He was in the Toronto area I believe, as he was getting ready & helping with a drag race this weekend. The trailer was found this morning at the edge of the Indian reservation nearby, but the local authorities have no jurisdiction within the reservation...[his wife had her truck stolen last year and it was found burnt on/nearby the reservation as well].

Anyway, Pete called and asked that anyone/everyone keep an eye out for any ZL1/400thm/4.56, or white with blue guts '69 Camaro parts, that happen to pop-up for sale. The truck is a truck, but lots of blood/sweat/tears in that Camaro...

Scary thing is, they're horribly close to Port Hamilton...

I have attached a post from the yenk website concerning one of the cars that we race with in the PURE STOCK MUSCLE CAR DRAG RACE. Pete is a great guy, Please keep your eyes open. This kind of thing makes me sick. Now I know why the NCRS has 24 hour security at all events.

I see Pete got his car back from the natives after offering a reward. Glad to see it, he lives about 1/2 away from me.

I'm glad he got his car back, its a shame that he had to go through such an ordeal.

They way the story reads, it sounds more like a ransom than a reward!

I have an I phone and just found out today that if you loose your I phone (they have GPS on them) you just call apple and they can locate your phone. So if you have an I phone and need to leave your vehicle for any length of time and don't have lojack installed, just lock your I phone in the glove box. If the car is stolen, call apple for the location.

Might work most places, but the Reservations are a foreign country, and at least around here have a love of automatic weapons, what are you really going to do just ask for the I phone back?

We should get our six guns and horses along with Willie Nelson, Toby Keith, John Wayne and George Custer and go get them injuns!! GLad he got the car back, but we don't have to put up with that reservation crap.
