dealer emblems

My 65 fuel car was sold at Daniels Motor company in Colorado Springs, Colorado; still in bus. I have called and asked them what their dealer emblems looked like and or if they may have one around. No luck; It would be nice to show the car (Goldwood yellow coupe) with the dealer emblem as the two holes are still in the back panel. does anyone know what the emblem looks like or where to get one. I was on a similar search for my 409 sold new in Pueblo, Co. Try Ebay, run an ad in the local newspaper or swap and sell magazine, check with Michael Trudeau (michaelmet@hotmail.com) who writes an emblem column for VCCA. If all else fails have one made to your design-who would know the difference?

You might try a call to the dealer again and see if there are any "old time" employess around. Sometimes they have some items or may be able to help.

You may get an idea of what the old logo looked like by contacting the local library in the area. See if they may have an old newspaper ad from the time. The logo may appear there. I have done this several times for period correct ads from dealers.

Possibly a veteran salesperson may be able to help too.

Good luck and don't give up. The salvage yard tip was a good one I would try too.

I believe that Chevy dealer is the club sponsor for the Colorado Springs Corvette Club. You may want to contact one of their board members?
