when the key is turned sometimes she cranks and sometimes she don't.When coming home from a cruise night she just just stopped running,and when the key is jiggled she cranks and starts...is this an ignition switch problem

Opie, sure enuf sounds like the switch or the key's worn. Check with Pete Lindahl as Pete should have specific details on the switch contacts. Also check all of the connectors on the back and make sure they're all clean and not corroded. See ya at Carlisle. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter

Sounds like the switch.. they do wear out over time. Others will chime in but if it were me, I would start by confirming that the connections are tight to the switch back and assuming they are, then look to replace the switch..
Beyond the switch, I would check the firewall connections.. beyond that, the solenoid on the starter, and then the starter motor proper...
If you turn the key and hear the "tick", that means that the solenoid is engaging...
