    first judging

Just attended my first local chapter meet (Lake Erie chapter) it was a great time, all the judges were informative and friendly.I wasn't expecting to top flight so I was happy with getting second flight. I learned that it shouldn't take to much to get it to top flight, just hate to mess up that pretty paint job and not going to take off those side exhausts with that 365hp, justs sounds to good. Thanks again it really wasn't that painful

Anyone have pictures from that meet? How many cars were judged?

      Thanks,
      Chuck

About 15 cars I think. No pictures but someone was taking them. Next time a camera and something to take notes with

Leonard, please do NOT dull the finish on your car. I, too, have a paint job that was deemed "over-restored". The car took a 22 point hit but there is no way I am taking the exterior judging team's advice and dull the finish. My car is a show car first and a NCRS Top Flight car second. I don't know about other NCRS members but there is no way I would have paid top dollar for my rare, highly-optioned car if it had all the factory blemishes like orange peel, etc.

I, too, have the L76 (327/365) engine with added side exhaust (a 78 point hit) and reproduction KO wheels (a 30 point hit). My car took Top Flight with 96.3% its first outing. -Clark

I got 100% deduct because no attempt was made to make it look factory correct. I heard hairspray dulls it and then you can clean it off after. Haven't tried it yet
