'67 Rocker Panel Moulding/ Lower windshield moulding

Is there a way to tell the difference between an original and a reproduction rocker panel moulding on a '67?

Also, according to my GM P&A dated May 1974 the lower windshield reveal moulding for '63-'64 convertible is the same #(3823440) and then '65-'67 convertible are #(3841254) However all suppliers lists the '63 as being one year only and '64-'67 as being the same. I have mouldings I want to list but want to do so correctly. Can anyone help me out? Also what is the difference in the two reveal moldings numbers?
    Thanks as always.

Re: '67 Rocker Panel Moulding/ Lower windshield moulding

    Hi Dave, not much response.
I'll take a swing at the Rockers, maybe stimulate some interest for other responses.
Most obvious, the original '67 Rocker Mouldings are smooth and formed neatly at the points.
Extrusion, or forming lines are minimal.
The aluminum finish is fairly smooth with a somewhat subdued uniform gloss.
They line-up very well, fitting lengthwise at the ends of the descending fiberglass quarter panel tabs nearly perfectly.
    Recent replacements are:
Ragged in the forming of the end points.
    Have more obvious extrusion lines.
The visible aluminum portion has a duller finish.
Typically, shorter overall, with the ends falling noticeably short of the descending quarter panel tabs. We have seen a 1/4" or more.
    Hope this helps,
    HaND
