    this original to my 68? the fender wells have protective undercoating

    In the fender wells where rocks would sling up my car has a even layer of undercoating it looks great and is useful just curious if they came like that or not.

    owners from original to the guy I bought it from never mentioned about having it done.

    on the rear fender wells it's on the frame some too

    Brandon, The Factory Did Undercoat Behind Front Wheels And Rear Wheels, And At The Rear Seat Belt Reinforcments Area Above The Rear Wheels. There Wasnt Much Sprayed In Those Areas.

      if GM didn't coat the inside of the fenders you would get stars in the paint from rock and stones hitting the underside.

        That's usually described in the "Wheel wells" item in the Chassis section of the JG; what does yours say?

          Ya, seems like it's correct for the wheel wells to have undercoating.
