    C2 door locks

    The door locks on my 66 convertible rotate when I try to lock the doors. When I did this repair a number of years ago (obviously not correctly) I don't remember anything that kept the lock cylinder from rotating other than pressure from the clip on the inside against a rubber washer behind the lock cylinder.

    Did I miss something? Any tips?

      Randy,

      You are correct. There is no geometric keyway in the fiberglass to orient the lock. It relies on friction/compression via the retaining clip on the backside.
