I love the stance on my 68 with 245x60 and 215x60 on the 7" wide stock rims. Got rid of the stock skinny stuff last year, tons more fun to drive. Can't fit anything wider or bigger up front and have full turning and rebound without hitting something.

you can't fit anything bigger than a 215 up front?

hey you have a rear picture of those 245's on yours?

And the more arm strength required to parallel park w/o P/S...

It seems that a lot of people want to MAXIMIZE the rubber-to-road contact area without considering the consequences. It makes sense when the objective is drag strip or wheel to wheel competition. But, for a decent driver experience, it's easy to go overboard FAST!

          Brandon,
I was very close to the fender lips at lock to lock with any kind of wheel travel upward. The 215x60 are still closer than the thin stuff.

I'm no wizard at computer stuff like posting pictures. I can send them email. But have no clue how to post them. We just had the driveway dug up and repaved so cars are stuffed in garage for at least 3 more days. I'll be glad to get you pictures but it will have to be a close up. Send me your email address.

Sad to say I still haven't decided which tire to go with haha.

              255/60 or 245/60

I have people that say 255's will rub some say not.

saome say too wide for 7" wheel some say na..

looks like the 7" wheel would help them not to rub compared to an 8"

thing is I've called and everywhere has to order either so when I order them I kidna commit to buy them so thats why I haven't jumped..had hoped someone around might have a 255/60 on a 7" wheel I could try on the front to check rubbing issues before I order.
