Do you own a 1972 with serial number over 19000?

If so, we would appreciate some information from you if 1) your car has a 350 engine either base or LT-1, and 2) you think there's a chance that it still has its original water pump.

If you could provide 1) the engine assembly date and code (e.g. V0423CTK), 2) your serial number, 3) the water pump casting humber (3991399 or 330813) and 4) the water pump casting date it would be very much appreciated.

Feel free to PM me the info if you don't want it on the board. That is fine with me. As noted in the thread linked below, we are trying to find when the water pump casting changed. https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...1288&&uid=6890

Also below are pictures of the water pump types to make it easier for you.

    Thanks for your assistance!

Other late 72s out there? I know that they exist and their owners visit the board.

Re: Do you own a 1972 with serial number over 19000?

Patrick, sorry for the delay in getting back to you concerning the waterpump. From what I have determined, I have the 330813 water pump because of the large untapped boss

I tried and tried to find the casting date for the pump, because all of the hose connections and fan shroud and A.I.R. pump and its related hoses, I couln't find it and I don't have access to a lift at the moment, I will keep trying(perhaps with a very bright flashlight and a pair of binocs)
My trim tag says the assy date is L13, which, I believe is a July 13th(or thereabouts) of '72
The engine serial # is 12S526154 and engine assy code is Vo6?8CKY, sorry I can't tell the 4th digit it is very faintly there

If I can find out anymore info for you feel free to ask
          couldn't resist adding one more!

            Roy,

            V0628CKY
            Nice car.

With an engine assembly date that late I'm not surprised you have the 330813. It appears that the 3991399 changed to the 330813 on production engines sometime in May.

I'd love to hear more from cars in the 19000 to 21000 range, but more specifically engine assembly dates between April 21 and May 31.
            Any out there?
