Interesting ! What is the difference between a 56 housing and a later housing? Is there a casting number on a real 56 housing?

Am I missing something here; what has Chicago Corvette have to do with this item? You name an individual, is he with them?

OK Dan, gotcha. I did some business with them years ago when I worked in La Grange and lived in Hinsdale, but never knew them on a first name basis. I used them only for convenience. They rebuilt my alternator and tried to give it back with the wrong pulley.

He has someone who can change part numbers and dates on cast iron .This guy is very very good.I sold him several sets of 1956 3725306 power pack heads .The 306 head is the only head with the same combustion chamber as the3740997.A friend bought A set of 997 from AL and asked me if there was a way to tell if they were fake . All you have to do is measure the intake runners and yes they were fake .1956 306 are very very slow sellers maybe 1 set every 2 years .Wonder why he purchased all I had ???.I asked All if he knew anybody who could change the 59-63 3speed tail into A 56 . I heard A 5 minute talk on how it was impossible. Guess what that is exactly what he sold me . I even know the guy who sold him the 59-63 tailhousings .My fault I should have know better .If he would have been up front with me I would have never sent it back.

I bought a set of heads for a very late 65 (4 from the end) from Al a number of years ago - after three phone calls, insisting that he have the heads in front of him as I asked the questions, one of which was "Are they Flint heads?"; answer was a GUARANTEE; naturally when they arrived, they were Tonawanda.
I then exercised an option that is no longer available - a Certified Mail, Return Receipt letter - that demanded a refund, plus shipping costs BOTH WAYS. I received it - but only because I excercised a "No Longer Available" option; I cc'd John Amgwert on the letter and asked John to no longer accept ads from this _____. I have no idea what JA did, if anything, but I got my $$$$ back.

This guy is bad news. I don't want to waste my time even bringing back the bad memories. His was the worst business experience I ever had. Had to talk to a lawyer to find out how best to get my refund after returning his pitiful parts per the agreed terms. Did finaly get back two thirds after many many months and constant attempted contacts. I think his call sign on EBay is something to do with like a Mister Carb with a mzrl or something. I tried to find it but couldn't. I watch for him on line but he comes up and goes down for awhile. I don't even want to think about him and his unprofessional ways anymore.

I think he changed is ebay store name unless, there is somebody else in Justice IL with the same inventory. This account has only one negative feedback and a low number of total sales (meaning relatively new). I would put the name but I would hate to be wrong and slander somebodys good business name.

                            Dan,
Like many others I have had my problems with this TURD. Hopefully you paid with a VISA and have proof of the return. If so just call customer service at VISA , explain the problem and be prepared to send a letter documenting the problem along with receipts.
What they do once a case is opened is to pull back the funds that they paid him on the transaction, explain the complaint and give him 30 days to respond to the charges. When he does not respond they use the money that was taken back from Al and credit your account. This is exactly what they did for me when al screwed me on a dated Holley carb for a 67 BB I once owned. Most major credit cards offer the same service, just call the 800 number on the back of your card. Good Luck Rich

I have suspected, but do not know for certain, that there is possibly a second eBay seller with an Oklahoma address, that is possibly, somehow connected to the seller that has been discussed. Let me repeat, I DO NOT know this for certain.
As an old retired guy, I am on eBay quite often, and have seen a "connection" between the two seller's auction listings. It would not be the first time that a seller with feedback problems, has enlisted a family member, friend, or simply a business associate to sell items for him. Realisticly, one would not even need to ship the parts to the "other" seller. Some eBay sellers, sell the part, that's then drop-shipped from another location.
I also am not going to name the other seller's id, as this is purely speculation on my part. One just needs to be careful when buying on an internet site, and pin the seller down on just exactly what the return policy is.
