      This style of valve covers was installed on many crate big blocks in the 80's and early 90's. Generally, these engines were painted black so these covers have probably been re-painted Chevy orange. I don't think that this style was ever used on a PRODUCTION engine, but if it was, its use was limited to truck applications.
