emissions decal placement for my 68? I read where some 68's had it on the radiator.

The vin number for my car is 18S404080

I have the new sticker, glad I thought about that before I put it on this morning because I almost started to put it at the left corner on the firewall like you see on most cars.

if anyone knows I would appreciate it, I checked my manual it doesn't say.

Brandon, I have seen early cars with the emissions label on the radiator. I am not sure what the cutoff is. My 68 is vin 14xxx and it's on the corner of the firewall.

Brandon, your car is pretty early and I would guess that it belongs on the radiator. My 68 is 9643 and is on the firewall area. perhaps you should see who else chimes in before placing it.

thanks, ya I'm thinking it probably goes on the radiator for my car, mine was build D07 so nov, 1967.

also no signs of there ever being a decal there on my firewall..but I'll wait to make sure.

also I kinda doubt theres a lot out there with the original radiator that can show the placement but if so if you have a engine bay picture please post it so I can get the placement right.

I think I can help here. In the Corvette America AIM, UPC 0 / B1 #3927740 is as view B shows. It is on the radiator so as to read from rear of vehicle. So this would be for car 001 and on up. I have an actual GM GM Assy Manual that shows this view B was removed and a view C added on 1-16-68 were the Engine tune up sticker was mover to that firewall by the left hood male latch. I don't know how to attach the page and its not a good copy cause its an old and fragil documnent and I didn't wanr to take it apart to copy it. I did get enough to see the change. If you want I could send that copy to you for your records.
