C1 intake filters 6cyl

Working on a 54 with the 3 side draft carbs. Is there a filter element for the inside of the intake domes or is the screen the only filter. Someone cut scotch brite pads and installed them in this one. Ed

Grossmullers sells the filter elements in a group of 3 for $69.45.

Get rid of that ScotchBrite material - it's terribly abrasive, like diamond dust on the inside of an engine.

yes you are correct not the right thing to do. Just ordered intake filters from grossmullers. Ed
