What should be the distance between the rear of the grille bar and the grill mesh on an unmolested, original car?

Also, what is the difference between the Fawn Beige exterior color and the interior trim color? The interior color is listed as only Fawn, is it not metallic?

David, Mine is not unmolested but it is about 1 1/2".

The 62 uses grill spacers which are approx. 1" long. They slide over the grille mounting studs and recess the grille into the opening. They are easy to make and are available in repo. Rich

Thanks John and Richard. Mine has been apart and of course someone did not feel it was important to replace stuff. Also a bit of a rugged repair around the nose.
