Fuel filter

I'm going thru the judging sheets of a car I just bought, it's a 327-365hp 1964, under fuel delivery , the fuel filter is a replacement with grooved fittings what are they refering to being grooved? Does Long island corvette or paragon sell a fuel filter that will pass judging?? or must I search out an NOS filter?
