1968 Corvette antenna and ground

Did the 1968 Corvettes have a threaded antenna and did they have the grounding plate for the antenna? A friend of mine doesn't have his and doesn't recall it ever being on it.

Scott, My early 68 build Nov 67 has a screw in antenna same as in 67. The ball size on the top should give you an idea if you are dealing with an early or late style antenna.
