Re: '68 Wiper Switch Ground
The bezel is screwed to the metal housing that all the gauges mount to and the illumination bulbs pop into and one thing that most over look is how the metal housing is grounded. The actual ground for the metal gauge cluster housing is the center ground terminal of the temperature gauge and that terminal is grounded by a 14 black wire from the harness. During any testing the temp gauge 3 wire connector needs to be in place to provide a good ground to the cluster or a grounded jumper needs to be in place.
(A secondary ground for the gauge cluster is the console providing they are bolted together and the console ground leads are in place.)
