    66 Oil Pressure Line

My friend tells me on his 65 396 the oil pressure line goes into the big fitting above the oil filter , on the 66 427 I am doing I keep ordering a fitting and it is to small for that hole , it looks like it would go in front of the filter. If it goes in the front hole what kind of fitting goes in the bid hole . The car is a 4speed .
    THANKS
    JOHN

      John,
The fitting goes in to a reducer bushing, I can't remember the size but the fitting that grabs the tube goes into a brass NPT bushing which has that size female on one side and the block size male on the other.

I keep ordering the fitting that goes into the block for oil pressure line , and I keep getting a fitting that goes a little in front of the oil filter , my friend had a pretty org. 65 and he said it goes in the big (1in ) right above the filter.
            Thanks

              John -

As I recall, the adapter bushing for that application is 1/2" NPT male x 1/8" female NPT; the thread diameter on the 1/2" NPT end is 7/8". Which of the two holes (center or forward) are closest to 7/8"?

The hole that is closest to 7/8 (1/2 n.p.t.) is front hole ,the hole above the filter is a little over an 1 inch .
                Thanks
