63-65 Corvette headlight gear

Do not know if this information is still current and the part still available. The part number was taken from a 2006 AC Delco 18A-100-06 catalog I was given in SEP 2008.
On page 109 it shows a picture of Actuator, Head Lamp Gear Vintage Vehicles 63-65 Corvette.

Jim,

That is the correct part number however the part is not presently available from GM or Delco. The part is available in reproduction from almost every Corvette vendor.

Joe Ray I wonder how long it was available from the 2006 catalog?
What happens to all the parts like this sitting in a AC Delco warehouses when AC Delco decides to no longer sell the part?
The gear in my catalog had one whole page dedicated to it. It was the only part listed on the "Vintage Vehicles page".
This part was also identifiied with an "X" which is a parts classification code for"Stocked by ACDelco But not Recommended for Wholesaler Inventory".
It is good that the part is still available from venders. I am still trying to find the rubber shock absorbers that fit in the big headlight gear of my 1985 Corvette.
