    No body assembly date (upper left); very faint Style /trim/ body/ and paint imprints (the vertical line in the center that separates style and trim from body and paint is almost invisible. Very rare to see a trim tag 40+ years nowadays that has no sign of a bend on the upper or lower edge .

      Hello Wayne;

      Looks like different cameras and angles produce varying results.
      Especially when shot from different distances, lighting, and then magnified.

      Just my 2 cents.

        Very good. You caught the no date very quickly, and no date is unusual. Sorry, the camera angle is not good, but its the best that I could do. There is some damage on the letters that make them appear light, but I can guarantee this is an original tag. There is something else that is interesting. Down in the lower RH corner. There is written with a red marker, the body number 452.

          Hello;

          Missed that in the first picture.
          Looks like another character in front of the "452" ?
          Is it written in crayon?

            Hi Wayne,

            I think the crayon body # has been observed on quite a few AOS cars, including Jerry Fuccillo's (from memory, but I recall a thread in past 3 years on this topic).

            Neat tag, thx for sharing it.

              I happen to have 66 AOS tag A-2250 which would be 12 bodies behind the one in question and it is normal. haven't learned how to send pictures yet.

                Shelby,

                Do you have a coupe or convertible?

                  I should have mentioned that the build date is D 17
