The back per the AIM. I noticed that when mocking up my Alternator bracketry the other day using the AIM for guidance.

I'll learn to live without the pride of accomplishment.

All I'll have to worry about is running out of Q-tips and touch-up brushes and whether there's a chance of rain.

The orientation of the brace in the photo is correct. Also, as a minor point, this is not on my car. The car belongs to a friend of mine who is the original owner. I'm 100% sure that neither the pulley nor the alternator has ever been changed. For one thing, the alternator is a correctly numbered, correctly dated unit.

Oh I agree with you whole heartedly Kenny.

I just got done building a 1970 Chevelle LS6 "recreation" last year. Down the the nut and bolt using correct components. Smog system, correct bolt head markings, paint dabs, part stickers, $1000 Seat belts from SSnake Oyl, you name it. Nothing too good for my clone. A red on Red piece of Eye Candy. (see photos in my link)

I had roughly $65K into this car and sold it last fall for $55k and was happy to get it.

The sad truth is that I cry and moan when I'm building these cars, but when I'm done I get bored.

I have to build them..... It's in my blood.

And yes, building them is a loosing battle financially, but the bottom line is that no matter how nice a car I purchase, I always end up pulling the motor for detailing and once that happens, there's no turning back.

At least this time I have a numbers matching, Black on Black, Redline Sidepipe Coupe.

A 350/350 but with a 383 stroker kit internally pushing 400 HP and 460 Ft. Lbs or torque. (I know, the purists would kill me) but I had some Big Block Envy to deal with.

I hate it when I'm in the middle and it feels like it will never end, but the satisfaction is worth it.

            It's a sickness.
