Try AFC. Their wheels have gotten good press about being very close to original. Not sure about availability and price.

I agree with Harry's suggestion. A couple of weeks ago, I went over to AFC in Ramona, CA on a Saturday to purchase some reconditioned original parts for my '72. Why I was there, I had the rare opportunity to talk at length with Mike (the owner) about his repro parts (including wheels, suspension and steering parts and body panels). I was quite impressed with the quality and accuracy of the products he produces (including the great lengths he goes through to ensure the parts meet or beat the original technical specifications for construction, durability and strength). Mike is a walking Corvette encyclopedia. While he's a very busy guy, if you have the chance to talk with him, I highly recommend it.

Mike is usually at Carlisle. If you order a set he could possibly bring them to avoid the shipping.

Look at both manufacturers VERY closely. I think if you talk to enough people you will find the truth!

Some distributors can talk their way into claims that are hard to produce after the orders come rolling in their way.

Corvette America had what I thought was a great show deal at Bloomington, $2000. Also I would strongly recommend the direct bolt type, no hassles or problems. Don H.

I have a set of the AFC wheels for my 63...love them. Very well made...Mike is a great guy. He is making a very high quality part. You will not be disappointed.

I'm in for a set of bolt-on KO's in the near future from either Corvette Pacifica or Corvette America.

The clincher: Maybe the jury is still out but who has the better correct appearing wheel? . .

If possible, go to a show where both are such as Carlisle or Bloomington. You can then see and decide for yourself. As a bonus they usually offer show specials. Don H.

From what I understand Nabers gave the Corvette America wheels rave reviews at Bloomington.

There was a good thread on another forum showing pictures of the new wheels from Dave the pres. of Corvette America.

Yes. New wheels and new castings. Just released in last few weeks. Still made in China, however.
