With the interior changes from 76 to 77, the 77s AC-console and ashtray area are illuminated by a small light above the central vent openings.
After experiencing this light going out from time to time (but mainly working) it now seems it finally quit (although I have not been driving too much with the lights on, lately).
That it worked intermittently leads me to the clue that it's not (necessarily) the bulb that went out, but seems to be something with the wiring.
Earlier this year I exchanged the knob/rod from the light switch and had to pull the console a bit forward to gain access to the switch's release button. Can that have finally loosened a connection from the switch to the wiring leading to that bulb?
Where would such a connection be on the switch?
(Sorry that I post this question before checking with the AIM or a Manual, but I guess someone of you from his experience might have an answer available right away...)
Thanks
