Re: 1965 Trim Tags
Hey dave. Welcome to the NCRS. Purchase the Trim Tag Verification book form the NCRS. It's INSANE at how much detail and information is in the book. It has close ups of trim tags, all their abberations/flaws, etc. It's over the top chock full of information. You may want to also purchase the Pocket Spec Guide. It's the most inexpensive, but most helpful book I have. Good luck. ARA- Top

Re: 1965 Trim Tags
Dave -- while you're waiting for the book that Ara has recommended, feed us the 5 bits of stamped data: body assy. date code (upper left corner); the STYLE; the TRIM; the BODY; and the PAINT codes.- Top

Re: 1965 Trim Tags
Dave -- missing the body assy. date code (ie. E24, or similar) from the upper left corner of tag. (eg: E= December) 24th day.
436BA is Maroon Leather on a convertible without power windows or automatic transmission.
Paint 960M is probably 900MM, which is Milano Maroon.
Body S1609 is the 1609th convertible body built at St.Louis (A bodies were built in Ionia Mich. and shipped to St.Louis).
Style 65 467 confirms a 1965 model year convertible.- Top

Re: 1965 Trim Tags
I'm not sure that all the info from the trim tag has been relayed correctly, but from what you've provided it sounds like a Milano Maroon convertible with maroon leather interior with a St. Louis body #1609.
Hope that helps,
RobRob

Re: 1965 Trim Tags
E 18 would be December 18th. 1964. I believe 396 production began in the VIN # 13000 area. #13000 would have been built in March.Tom Hendricks
