    My new Corvette!

This is my new Corvette--1967 convertible, Sunfire Yellow, black interior, 427/400, automatic, A/C, PS, PW, PB, speedminder, both tops. Three-time NCRS Top Flight (2 Chapters, 1 Regional), supposedly 1 of 16 (or 20 or 21, or 40, depending on who's doing the calculations, but who cares).

I bought the car out of Australia, took delivery last month. It's got to be the only 67 that went to Australia and back to the USA! From Freeport, AU, through the Suez Canal, transferred to another ship in Italy, through the Strait of Gilbraltar, then across the Atlantic to Houston. It neared 'pirate territory', so I thought with my luck the ship would get hijacked by a pirate who collected mid-years!

Anyway, I'm very proud of her; she is stunning!

Nice 67, I'm jealous. However there are other cars I know of that have come back from Australia. I looked at a 69 L89 that went there and came back. There is a dealer in California called "GM Down Under" that's run by a very nice Aussie.

Don't doubt it; those Aussies are okay people. Anyone who can live with an image created by Crocodile Dundee has to be a good sport!

I like the soft Yellow. Something different from Black, Red and Blue. 400 with air and auto. is great. Ed

Knowing Aussies do HAVE to rework their cars to RHD (by law), I suppose your car needed that change to be carried out, too? Or was it more a "museum car" not intended to be registered and driven?
From the pics it appears your car still or again has the steering "on the right side" (which means LEFT)...

                Enjoy - it's a real beauty

Hey Mate I remember that car it got t boned and broke in 2 bit's. We cut and shut it and said the only person who will buy this will be an American. Come up pretty good Ah !! I'm only stirring !!! Us Aussies love Corvettes and Muscle stuff. That car would not need converting to right hand drive. It meets the age where you can register the car and drive it in left hand hook. Besides it must of been a trailer Queen with all those awards !! Good luck with the car.
Why did you send it on a site seeing adventure you only had to send it to the U.S West Coast. It's a straight run. Stewy

Stewart, that was my question, too. It seems that the shipping company in Freeport, AU ships only to Georgia and Texas, not even New Orleans. But, it only took 55 days.... BTW, you mates did good work on repairing the Vette; I see only a few spots where you didn't grink down the lead on the body!

Thanks everyone for your kind words! This car is a dream come true for me. It's found it's home; my daughter is in love with it and expects it when I pass on. I told her she has to outlive me first!

Larry how did you here about the car for sale. Did it reside in Western Australia. There is an American army base over there and they get a few Vettes in because of the U.S troops. Stewy
