On my 74' I want to verify the integrity of the antenna cable to antenna connection at the rear fender location. The AIM is unclear on how the part are mated. Question: From above can I remove the antenna and take off the base bezel nut and pull the antenna cable and base up through the hole from above? Or do I remove the antenna, take off the base bezel nut, remove the left side muffler and pull the antenna cable and base down from below?

Re: C3 Antenna Cable to Antenna Connection
On my 68 and 70 the part of the antenna assembly that the bezel connects to is not going to come out of the antenna hole. I don't have to remove a muffler either. I have even changed out the antenna on a C4 and did not remove a muffler.- Top
