My stock 1974 Delco AM/FM stereo radio is in need of repair (volume control). Can someone give me the name of a good repair shop ? I talked to Paragon at Bloomington Gold and found Ward's Classic Radio repair on the Corvette Forum. Any recommendations ? I am the original owner. Thank you.

Re: Delco Radio Repair
Hi Glenn,
I was very pleased with the work, price, and turn around time of Jerry Rudbeck at ElectroDesign. He sent me pictures of what he found and even sent the old parts back with the radio.

Re: Delco Radio Repair
Jerry at ElectroDesign turned my AM-FM around so fast I can't believe it. His communications, attention to detail, customer care, technical skill and knowledge of these early radios is astounding. And, he is a C2 owner himself. Finally, his prices seem very fair and reasonable. I would not send my radio anywhere else. He is the one.- Top

Re: Delco Radio Repair
The radio was the one thing I farmed out when I did my 72. I had the original radio upgraded to new electronics as I was told it would sound and perform much better then the original and I wanted to maintain the stock radio. I sent it to FL for the upgrade and it had to go back twice for rework. Now it doesn't work at all. I wasted $400 instead of having the original repaired and rebuilt.
Good luck with yours.- Top

Re: Delco Radio Repair
Hi Glenn,
I had occasion this morning to have the radio that Jerry repaired for me operate with a little 3' long 'test' antenna he sent along when he returned my repaired radio. It's amazing how good the reception, and sound quality is in a radio that hasn't work well since 1971.
He does very nice work.
