67 Alum.Hd. BB. condensation???

How can you maintain the minimum condensation on a Alum. head and intake BB. valve covers are stock chrome,.... while still keeping the stock appearance? I don't want to add extra venting but the slimey oil drives me crazy. It has only been started up after a rebuild for very short periods of time. Water is not leaking in the oil and the rocker studs were all sealed. Any new ideas?

I see you're in Michigan. I've had big condensation problems here too. I now keep my garage heated in the spring and fall...problem gone.

Another thing to try it to place a fan near the front of the car blowing air at it. The moving air tends to help equalize the temperature of the various parts of the car and minimize condensation. It works for me.

Oh, and if you're on concrete think about putting down at least plastic, if not something like this: http://www.bltllc.com/blt_main.htm

Are you getting moisture inside the engine? Does the oil look contaminated with water/coolant?

use a 205 degree thermostat as that is what i had to do with my 482 cu in aluminum headed BBC engine in my pickup truck to keep the internal condensation down. you have to get it to run hotter. my problem was only in the cold winter weather.
