    75 Fuel Pump

I purchased what I thought was an original fuel pump...on the underside of the base are the stamped numbers 40769 3H9. embossed on the side of the housing is "Made In USA". However there is no A/C logo anywhere on the part. The Assembly manual shows the original part number for the 75 Fuel Pump to be 6440769 . Is my part an original A/C pump or a repro?

It could be AC, Airtex, NAPA, Carquest, etc. It seems that there is not but one manufacturer making mechanical fuel pumps today, Airtex. The all have the AC part number on them. Unless you find one of the ultra rare unobtanium pumps with the AC logo, you have the best you can do

If your car has so much in the way one can't see the cast in AC you could slip by without a deduction. Most 73-77's are easy to judge and then about 1980 they get hard to see the AC.
