Does anyone have a 1969 Corvette order form?

And Terry, do you have the engine records on these two?

    1969 with Q01 on the trim tag has CAO 10 16 69 W
    1969 with Q11 on the trim tag has CFA 10 17 69 W

I may -- at home. You are squeezing me on my departure for the Road Tour to California tomoprrow at O'Dark-Thirty. I haven't even packed much less loaded the car yet. And my female passenger HAS packed, but I don't know if it will fit in the car.

Indeed taking a woman on a trip is like taking an even dozen guys

Another guy from here is on his way up to Tulsa on the way to CA; just wonder if I might run on to some of you if I make the Oklahoma meeting which I understand is Saturday morning, I will make every effort to be there.

There are several groups motoring to Tulsa for the 4th. The group I am with, coming from Effingham, IL has a 500-mile drive for Saturday. Not a chance in hell we will be there in the AM. The only question is how late in the afternoon we will be there. I understand we have an appointment at Roy Sinor's shop, a stop for dinner, and fireworks downtown on the agenda. I can't account for other groups -- I have a hard enough time keeping up with one.

If you are coming to Tulsa; it is a must that you come over and see this old rag you have been helping me with, I will be around until the evening or all day Sunday.

By the way; here it is on the way to it's new home Saturday before last, I traded straight across for my 69 GTO I have owned since 1979.

Sunday is another almost 500-mile day for us. I don't have the papers in front of me -- so I don't know where we will be Sunday night -- but I would bet Sunday would be as full as Saturday.

This is Bill Sangray's description of our Saturday:
"We'll arrive in Tulsa on the 4th some where after late - assuming we "push" that day - got 500 miles to do.

We'll visit Roy Sinor's shop 925 S Yale, have dinner at Talley's cafe near by and view the Fireworks downtown from John Neas's Marco Plaza. Cars will be parked in John' building parking garage.
It will be a busy and long day."

Maybe you can catch us someplace on that trail.

And, we'll be over in Monument (southern suburb of Denver) with the 'International Leg' of the road tour at Eckhard Pobuda's ranch doing a BBQ courtesy of the Rocky Mtn Chapter with our visiting friends, Rob Musquetier from Holland and Gary Wilkinson from Perth, Australia at the same time, Terry. Cheers, Mate!

Some more pics; VERY hard getting good shots in the tight areas with the camera I have.

You can not read the VIN on the M21 in the pic but 100% it is right; double and triple checked that.

Cleaned and tried to get a better shot of the rear; but the light was off, it does have the W. 1CAO11 24 69 W

I see what you were doing at midnight, while I was trying to get some sleep. Probably the only time it is cool enough to get in the garage, eh Steve?

I just did that at lunch; the time must be off, but sure I work at midnight because of the weather.

                          Ok, per Joe's order form.

                          M21 only with 350, 390, 400, or 435-HP engine.

So if you take what I have presented so far; VIN correct M21 and all clues leading toward M21 only with L46, what would any of you as NCRS judges be willing to say at this point?

                            Steve,
I hate to be the first to tell you, after you have spent all this time and effort to research your car, but NCRS does not judge the options on the car. We accept the car as presented.

That said, if you have an early 1969 with side pipes (before February 1969 if my memory is right) you had better be prepared to document those side pipes. However, we have no way of determining what transmission is in your Corvette, and the engine horsepower will be determined by the engine assembly stamp. If you have no engine assembly stamp we will judge the car as presented.

All that aside, it seems to me you have made a compelling argument. If it makes you happy, it is OK with me. Enjoy your Corvette.

I'm not asking my car to be judged; I'm asking if I'm on the right track of defining the new car so that I can take it the right direction.

OK, maybe this is my bad.

The forum isn't the place for this; maybe I'm suppose to letter or email one of these 17 technical advisors?
