72 mechanical oil gauge to electric?

OK This may be a stupid question. I have a 1972 Vette. Is there a way to replace the old mechanical oil pressure gauge to electric and still be able to keep the original apperance of the gauge? Or I guess the question is, is there a replacement electric oil pressure gauge that looks like the old one? The idea of oil flowing into the new interior of my car makes me cringe...

    Scott -

I've had countless cars over the last 50 years with mechanical oil pressure gauges, and have never had a problem; I wouldn't worry about it.

Change out the pressure tube with the correct type replacement. If properly installed, they outlast carpets, dash panels etc.
