    '63 radio, radio-grill and speaker replacement

    Hi,
    I am having trouble with replacing the speaker and speakergrill in my '63 convertible. That is without taking the dash apart. The AM radio went in fine without any problems. But It seems I cannot get the nuts and speednuts on the studs of the radiogrill, they partly hold the speaker and the defrosterduct in place as well.
    Any advise to do this the "easy way" is welcome.
    Thanks Ruud

    Ruud;

    I just did the speaker on my 1963... Remove the clock (two clips) and the glove box and you should have no trouble.. The nuts which hold the speaker and grill in place are separate from those for the defroster duct.

    If you are replacing your speaker be sure to get one with the correct loading coil.

    Good luck,

    Joel
