Please, PLEASE, PLEASE send an expanded version of your story, including things like how you came to find the original and second owners, etc to the RESTORER. This is way too good and inspiring a story to be limited to only those of us that visit the TDB. I think/hope this story may inspire many of us to seek past owners of our current cars, and also current owners of our past cars. It does me...

Great story! I've been fortunate to speak with and e-mail pictues back and forth with the original owner of my '73 big block. He was only 22 when he ordered the car, his 1st new car also. He had lost track of the car for 25 years until I tracked him down recently. Even though I'm in New York and he's in Texas, perhaps some time he'll be able to take it for a ride again too.

Craig, Loved your story. Thinking back I'd love to be reunited with my first Corvette. What a thrill that would be. After reading your story I thought alot about how it would feel.
Seeing the original owner still driving a Corvette after all these years, and his nephew living in his parents house driving a Vette.... wow, just blew me away. Shows how strong "Corvette Fever" can be. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your story. Save the Wave.>George
