WOW - NCRS Member #4 Now On The Forum

Noland Adams has joined the forum. Looks funny to see a single digit next to a member's name. I think Mike M. is the next lowest number on the forum at #10 or #14, or something like that.

Does anybody know who NCRS members #1 - #3 are?

    Russ,

Great to see Noland on the Forum! I have never met a nicer gentleman or greater corvette enthusiast. I believe you will discover that an equally great gentleman and enthusiast is Gary Mortimer member number 1.

Noland is a great guy. Welcome.

AND, I think that our own Gary Mortimer is NCRS member #1.

In 1983 I was at Big Bear with my 62 and my 9 year son. Noland gave him a 62 pin which we still have.

            Very nice guy.

                Thanks guys.

After seeing the names for members #1 - #3, I ran a search on the NCRS Restorer CD, and found an article in v26, n1 that list many of the first 100 members. Joe Chess was #5, Jay Kellogg #6, Dick Campbell #7, #8 and #9 were not known, and #10 was John Reeves. Interestingly, more than a few of the first 100 made careers out of the Corvette hobby. Lucky guys.

So Noland - how did you end up getting the #4 slot? Was there an organizational meeting where guys just lined up to sign the book?

In latest Driveline, page 51, Multi-car ads for Ed Rinke Chevrolet; member since 1974, description ends with Member #8, although hard to interpret if Ed himself has this #, or, can a business have a membership # ? Ad mentions Corvette specialists Jim Pfeifle, John Hart and Bill Bradley as well.

                        Noland,
Good to see you on the Forum.
I ran into Max and a bunch of other SACC members at the Bloomington show.
There were a good number of 53 through 62 cars on the judging field, wish you were there.
