Re: Horn Relay Chirp
What horn relay is in your car? The factory original was a Delco Remy 1115824 (stamped 824 on the bottom). It really has no way to 'chirp'.
Later horn relays ('68 and up) had a buzzer function built in to provide the key minder warning function. They can emit audible sound. But, if one of these was installed as a substitute, it should have one pin on the bottom unused/not connected. That's the pin that runs through the cockpit, ignition switch to ground to trigger the alarm/buzzer feature.- Top

Re: Horn Relay Chirp
We just replaced everything on the cars electric. All wiring , alternator , starter , horn relay , regulator you name it. Were finishing a body off and have only 50 miles on the car so we just getting all the bugs out now. I was just out isolating the noise and I found its not coming from the horn relay but it's for sure from the regulator. Thanks- Top
