65 Big Block Half Shaft Finish
Can anyone provide a description or a photo of the finish for a 65 big block half shafts? The Judging guide says they were shot peened. I've only seen smooth steel. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Shot peened looks "sort of" like smooth sandblasting. Dull silver that is smooth to the touch.
FYI, most automotive machine shops have a shotpeening machine. I've dropped off parts and picked them up a day or two later and had the exact correct finish. Then we don't have to describe it - you'll have it in hand.
