    What's this all about

Hi, TM has a "COPO" 67 for sale. Has a tele steering wheel. Thought they were not available in 67. Am I right? Bill.

I had one in the '67. It was great for getting in and out! I had to replace the upper column bearing--found out it's the same one that's in a Corvair!

          Bill:

My late March 1967 car has the tele steering wheel. I have seen a number of other 1967's with this option also.

And the word is those with classic Corvairs 'lie' and tell sellers they have a vintage Corvette when they're looking for the column. Why?

Despite the larger production volume of Corvair vs. Corvette, the number of units sold for Corvair was virtually nill making it, indeed, a rare and expensive option in Corvair circles!
