I have a 2x4 setup for a 245HP. I need to trade up to a 270HP setup. Carbs only. What do you think the cost difference would be. Haven't called any carb builders as of yet. Hope to speak to someone at Bloomington.

I can recommend you try Chuck Smith. The 270 HP carbs have gotten very expensive.

When I searched for carbs last year the 245HP and 270HP carbs were about the same price. About $4K-$4.5K for a restored set and $2.5K-$3K for a set of cores.
Chuck Smith or Gary Hodges might make you a deal if you have them restore them. A set is about $750 or so to have them restored.
I would think soem NCRS member with a 270HP set would need a set of 245HP carbs and trade them with you.Comment
