1959 245 (2 4 barrel) air cleaner

can any one show me or tell me what it is supposed to say under the aircleaner. Is it a stencil or decal? and where exactly would it go if it matters?

I can't believe the difference in the two lids. I wonder why the repo has a recessed area around the rim and the original one doesn't. I know it's for the element to sit on but why deviate so much ? It would of been so simple to manufacture it correctly. Very helpful photo Mark. Stewy

The repro was pretty poor. Lots of sharp and wavy edges. I asked my wife who knows nothing about cars to tell me which one was better made and she chose the original. They aren't even close.

I have a guy restoring the aluminum top piece. Should look quite nice when done. The Paragon repro top was steel. I sent it back.
