Since the topic of Lt-1 fuel pumps was brought up - I was wondering if anyone rebuilds them....
Does anyone rebuild fuel pumps?

Re: Does anyone rebuild fuel pumps?
Brad,
Try Arthur Gould at http://www.arthurgouldrebuilders.com/. I don't know if he does LT1 pumps but he did a great job on my 59 pump. If he doesn't perhaps he knows of someone who does. He has been in business for 25 years and I have heard a lot of nice things about him.

Re: Does anyone rebuild fuel pumps?
The later pumps, including the LT1 version, are unlike the 4656 pump on your '59. Instead of being made to take apart and overhaul (body components held together by screws), the later pumps were crimped and intended to discard after their useful life expired...
Now, there ARE folks advertizing crimped pump rebuild (Hemmings Motor News?)... But, some on the DB have warned that the body components weren't made for de-crimp/re-crimp and such a rebuild might not be reliable in the long term...- Top

Re: Does anyone rebuild fuel pumps?
What we really need is for someone to rebuild our fuel pumps using rubber parts that are compatable with the junk fuel we are forced to use.
Now if someone knows of a fuel pump rebuild kit that is compatable with ethanol it would be nice if he or she posted the info. Thanx, JD- Top
