What's not mentioned in the ad is that the Flight Award you get is only rented too. Expires as soon as your cheque clears the bank.

I thought I'd seen it all, but never did I ever expect to see ads/auctions with "bolts for rent".

I been thinking of selling original tires at regionals for $1500 a set. The customer gets the big points and has the option to return them with a 10% restock charge after the meet. Tires and batteries are high point items but a couple bolts for a point or two I can't see.

Creative, yes; a good speller, no. This seems to take exploitation of the hobby to a new level.

I'm going out to the garage right now to check my assortment of old bolts and screws.....I could be a millionaire and not know it.

Seriously though I always thought there would be some sort of market for renting or loaning of high point parts.....non-dot tires is a perfect example of an item not needed after judging.

I'll have my 55 Corvette at San Jose in the sportsman class so I don't need to have the air cleaner or shielding on it . Any one needing them on loan or other parts for their 55 to receive a top flight there for rent . Please! Please ! then I can pay for my room and food.

There must have been other logos used on those bolts. How about "E"???
Meanwhile having all the correct bolts on your car may be a complete waste of time and money if that particular car cannot make it thru the operations check. We see it all the time. At a recent NCRS show I went to I observed several cars going thru ops and said to my self. "Whew. Someone didn't do there homework and yet they worry about bolt heads."

If there is that much demand for those LF bolts lets get them reproduced immediately. No big deal having them made you know.
I am sure Richie at LI could have a couple of thousand knocked out fast and sell them quite reasonable. JD

If you have 1 bolt and some silicone make a mould..... mix up some epoxy and transfer to a bolt head..... paint to a look alike finish.

Just do not let the judge pick at the bolt head.
