66 grill brackets

were the rivets peened over from the grill side or the bracket side? what was, or can be used to peen them over?

I use a bolt. The end of a common bolt is concave. Just pick one that looks like the correct size.

stephen, is the pained surface smooth or textured? is there any metal flake in the paint?

I used Krylon Dull Aluminum paint. I painted from the backside to minimze the amount of cleanup required on the chrome front surfaces.

The brackets are semiflat black.
