69 Left Front Indicator Fiber Optic Lead Positon

Would someone be able to tell me what position (8 o'clock, 2 o'clock looking from the rear) the fiber optice lead inserts into the left front indicator housing?
It seems like it should go in at the 7:30 position as there is a notch in the bracket there, but the fiber optic lead is too long and hits the bracket putting it at an angle. There is room at the 2:30 position for the lead, but no notch in the surrounding bracket to clear the Fiber Optic lead.
The right side has plenty of room as the lead inserts at the 7:30 position and there's nothing obstructing it.
Any help or a picture would be great!
    Thanks!

    Jamie,

Mine is the same way. I ended up inserting the optic fiber grommet into the back of the lens assembly then I fitted the assembly into the bracket and screwed it down. Like you said, the right side fits fine but that left one is a #@%!

Thanks Michael. I'm glad to hear it's just not me, and that the setup is as it is "suppose" to be. Makes no sense as there just isn't enough room to get it in there straight.
I did the same thing as you.
