Go for a repro unless you want to give up your first born - I am sure the last two originals I saw on e-bay went for over $2000.00 per

I got my Eric Freeman teak wheel from Virginia Vettes at reasonable (that's a relative term) price.

Michael, My reproductions are made using original GM cores and sell for $550 on an exchange basis or $750 if you do not have wheel to trade.Send me an email and I will forward pictures of my wheels.

All: I reached out to Eric Freeman and he then directed me to Doug Graves (Teakmaster). I understand that Eric is no longer doing the Corvette steering wheels. Doug was a real pleasure to deal with as well and the Teakmaster steering wheel is beautiful. See attached photograph. Doug is a true perfectionist and even uses period correct heritage teak (harvested in the early 1960s) to ensure it's appropriately charateristic (e.g., has blemishes and burls) of the old St. Louis factory wheels). Doug restored an original wheel for me in Dec 15 and he does great work. Also had a look at his reproductions and they are first rate.
