    1100429 starter bolts

Is the headmark 'C' or 'Z'? Or either?

    Thanks,
    Scott Sims

Scott, I'm thinking neither, my 70' bolt collection have an "O", not to say that is the only headmarking used, I do know that the marking is exactly centered, aftermarkets are off center. I doubt you will find a correct answer to your question, until their is a way to do a survey. Steve

Thanks, Steve. I have seen 'C', 'O', and 'Z' listed as corrrect and I have to assume there were several different suppliers of these. I think 'C' is basically the C-2 era.

I just got back from a local swap meet where a seller from Tulsa had several original starter bolts among other goodies that I had already bought from him. He had two 'O' headmark starter bolts that he gave to me. He had several various Wittek clamps dating back to the '50s and square tanged pinch clamps and T-3 headlamps and various original old radiator caps. He also had several boxes of Delco Remy parts in original boxes and D-R zip containers. He goes to salvage yards in Oklahoma and even keeps all the good bolts from engines and bodies. Those salvage yards are treasure troves for parts. So are swap meets. I got a never used original Delco-Remy no R distributor cap for a $1.
