    55 only solenoid Trivia

Talking starter Solenoids if you ever find a 55 #1119767 solenoid like the pic. it's the rarest one ever made by Delco 12V , it's the only one NOT having TWO post for accessories (first design one post "S") . 55 Corvette and only 55 Corvette used this design ,not even Car used it.
Later replacement #1119767 had TWO post.

Roy how many 55 Corvette solenoids have you accumulated? This one looks really good.

Is there something unique other than the single small terminal? I have two of these in my garage, both attached to original 56 passenger car starters.

Well I miss spoke 55 56 car did use them after I heard from many people ,So as I've said in the past I'm learning every day too. That's what is so great about taking a chance posting my opinion . But if you have a 55 Corvette needing one you can see they are rare to come by because it seems only two year used it. I never see them on e-bay and would buy an extra one if NOS. Thanks.

My solenoids (pictured above) are 1119789, not 1119767.
