    C2 Vent Cable Lube?

On my 67 non-air car, the vent pull for the drivers side is hard to actuate. Passenger side is smooth as butter. I had similar issues with my 57 wagon and "lubed from the outside with Triflow (teflon) spray. Worked great on the non-sheathed cables, soaked right in. Any suggestions for making this side work smoothly?

An emulsion of spherical graphic is a good choice for cables. Lock-Eze is a good example. It's been around forever and is usually stocked by just about any hardware store.

      Duke,
Do I remove the cable? Or do I put on the ends and let it wick/capillary in?

What I'd do is remove the cable from the door end and actuate the door manually to see if the problem is in the door or door hinges. And check the cable with no load.

If the cable does need to be lubed, I'd remove it, hang it vertically, and slowly feed the lube in from the top while moving the cable until the lube runs out the bottom.

Let the excess drain. That graphite will be next to impossible to get out of the carpet.

IIRC the cable is a solid wire in a plastic shealth. It should work okay without any lubricant, but if the wire is bent/kinked somewhere within the shealth, then lubricant probably won't help much.
