Well, the Grand Sports had a "trunk", although it was open to the ground. When I built mine, I fabricated real trunk walls and a floor so I had dry luggage space for road trips. Photo below was taken by the guy I sold it to, who later installed a big honkin' stereo in it . The other exterior photo is the real GS #003 when Tom Armstrong owned it.

That is a big trunk, John! Somewhere in a box here I have a picture of #003 Bob Patterson sentme when he had it and it had the lighter blue paint, no white and no decals. If I can find it I will post it.

In the early days I used to sometimes get caught in the '57 in the rain. To stay dry with the top down 65-70 mph would keep the rain following the air over the windshield and out of the interior. The quirks I really enjoy are steering it with my right foot and listening to station 469. I especially like turning the volume up real high. I really don't miss trying to stop it from speed.

And MY favorite; hitting my head on the male hood latches! But I love my C1, too.
