Color of 67 seat rails?

I searched and only found this thread.

I looked at my rails and they are in pretty good shape. The only exception is the tabs that bolt them to the floor. They are rusty and need a coat of paint.

It looks like the rails should be grey, but Steve (in the above thread) painted them flat olive drab green.

Anyone have any other opinions on what color to paint them?

I believe my originals are a dark grey phosphate coating

I should have been more specific.

Mine are grey as well. I'm wondering what kind of PAINT I can use to refinish them.

I have the grey paint for the front grille. Is that a pretty good match? That looks like it might be too light to me.

I did mine a while ago and don't remember the brand, but I found a spray can of gray phosphate primer in one of the big hardware stores.

It's on a cable from the house about a 100 feet away. Ran the cable myself, and it is connected thru a VCR/CD player to get more than the 13 channels. (But its a Sony)

That's where I view my Al Knoch and other Corvette tapes, while working on the car. Used it on the top as well as the seats.

Honest, no porn stuff in the garage.

It's only waste if you're not going to use it. You should memorize that and tell it to everyone you see. I hold on to my chemicals too, especially since I can't get some of them anymore. Most still work well even in a degraded state.
